Hershey's Zero

Posted by brittany on 11/6/2011

An albino Snickers, ZERO is a delightful combination of creamy caramel, crunchy peanuts, just a touch of almonds and chewy nougat all covered in smooth white fudge. Not your ordinary candy bar! Each Zero measures 10 centimeters in length, 3 centimeters in width, and 2 centimeters in height. Silver and white, with a touch of sky-blue. The wrapper is quite charming!

ZERO was first launched by the Hollywood brands candy company of Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1920 as the "Double Zero Bar" and was renamed "ZERO" in 1934! In 1988 Hollywood Brands was purchased by Huhtamaki Oy of Helsinki, Finland and became part of Leaf Incorporated. Hershey took over Leaf's operations in '96, and with it came the production of the ZERO candy bar.

It's a delicious alternative to the high carb snacks and it does have a bit of protein. :) There is even a trace of Vitamin A and C! If your sweet tooth is calling out to you, demanding a candy bar, and you are tired of the regular candy bars ZERO is perfect for a mix-up so snack on!!

DID YOU KNOW??

-->  The white fudge coating used to be white chocolate!

-->  ZERO makes a great candy bar for Businesses to give employees for "ZeroTolerance or "Zero Accidents".
