Pearson's Nut Goodie
Posted by brittany on 11/12/2011

Nut Goodie is a concoction of milk chocolate, maple, and peanuty clusters! Manufactured by the Pearson's Candy Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Nut Goodie is known as "A Minnesota Classic" as is Peanut Chews is to Pennsylvania. The Nut Goodie was introduced in 1912 as one of the first manufactured products for the cost of 5¢. :) For 90 years Pearson's has produced candy that you simply cannot forget.

This is not your average candy 'bar', for it was so much more! Fat and round in shape, this "chunk" of goodness is almost enough to get me full. Virginia peanuts for protien, creamy chocolate for energy,  and maple? Well it's a delightful twist verses the usual caramel! The name is inviting in iself, the 'nut' is obvious..but what is that 'goodness'? I had to find out!

Unlike many of today’s candy bars, Pearson’s original Nut Goodie is still produced with real milk chocolate, making it a favorite of connoisseurs who appreciate the quality of a premium candy bar. Pearson’s continues to maintain its high standard of excellence!

DID YOU KNOW??

**  At some point during its history the recipe and wrapper were slightly changed, but restored to the original recipe and wrapper when two Pearson's employees bought the company in 1985.

**  Distantly related in construction to Pearson's BUN candy bars.
